This Privacy Policy explains how Tanked Up LLC (“Tanked Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use gettankedup.com, our fleet portal, our mobile app or our fueling services.
1. Information we handle
Accounts and service details. We handle information you provide when creating an account, checking service availability, contacting us or using our services. This includes your name and contact information; service addresses and parking locations; vehicle labels, plates and fuel grades; access instructions; requests, plans, visits and fill records; and support messages or invoice questions. Business account administrators may provide fleet, site and team-member information.
Payments. Stripe handles card and bank details entered through its payment forms. Tanked Up does not store full card numbers. We retain payment-method references and display details, authorization or mandate references where applicable, and invoice, charge and payment-status records to administer your account.
Location. With device permission, an authorized driver’s app records precise location during an active shift to support dispatch, route progress and service records. Background permission allows this while the app is not in the foreground. Ending the shift stops new shift-location collection; records collected earlier may upload when the connection returns. A household customer can separately choose to save a parking pin using the device’s current location. Entered addresses may also be converted to coordinates by our address provider.
Device and operational information. Our app, servers and providers handle technical information needed to run, secure and update the service, such as IP address, device/platform and app-version information, authentication/session data, request records and operational logs. Driver records may remain on the device while waiting to upload. The camera is used to read vehicle stickers; scanning a code is distinct from uploading a photograph.
Availability interest. If a signed-in household setup attempt is outside our service area, we retain the account’s email address, ZIP and account reference as a demand record even when no household is created. That record does not give permission for availability emails. We ask separately whether you want those updates.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts and apply access permissions; assess service availability; manage vehicles, sites, plans and visits; identify the vehicle served; record actual fuel deliveries; operate dispatch and support; administer payments and invoices; investigate errors and disputes; and maintain and improve the reliability of the service.
We distinguish service communications from optional marketing or availability updates. An out-of-area record is not an email opt-in. Communication preferences govern the supported channels; urgent access or payment messages may bypass routine quiet hours. Enabling a device notification permission does not by itself confirm that delivery through that channel is available.
3. Who receives information
Authorized Tanked Up staff and drivers use information needed for their work. Authorized fleet administrators can view their company’s vehicle, service and billing records. Customers may see delivery progress relevant to their service; this is not a public driver-location feed.
We use providers to operate particular parts of the service:
| Provider | Role and information involved |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication and configured database services, including account identifiers, contact and service records. |
| Stripe | Payment-method setup, authorization, payment processing and associated transaction and security information. |
| Expo / EAS | App distribution and updates, using technical request, platform and runtime information. When you enable available push registration, Expo and the platform notification service handle a device push token. Registration alone does not mean Tanked Up can deliver remote messages. |
| Google Maps Platform | Address suggestions, address lookup and configured route/map functions, using the search text, addresses, coordinates and request information needed for those features. |
| Apple Maps or your selected navigation app | Native map display or navigation you open; the provider receives the destination and other information according to that app and your device settings. |
| Resend | Service email when configured, including recipient addresses and message content. |
| Website/API hosting (Vercel, Railway) | Serving our web and API services, handling requests and associated network/security logs. |
Not every provider is used in every flow. Providers also explain their own handling of information in their privacy notices. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to protect the service, address fraud or resolve disputes.
4. Cookies, storage and security
We use account/session and device storage to operate the service, including keeping you signed in and retaining pending driver records for upload. Hosted payment and map services may use their own storage and security technologies. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system can guarantee complete security. Keep account credentials and private site access instructions secure.
5. Retention
We retain information for service administration, account and transaction records, dispute resolution, security and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention depends on the record and its purpose. A request to delete an account may not remove records that must be retained for those purposes. Contact us about a particular record or deletion request.
6. Your choices and requests
You can update supported account, vehicle and service information in the app or portal, or contact us for help. You can manage location, camera and notification permissions in device settings; disabling a permission may limit the associated feature. Browser settings can control cookies and site storage. Clearing app storage can remove driver records that have not uploaded, so resolve pending uploads first.
Contact info@gettankedup.com to request access, correction or deletion of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the account before acting. You may withdraw an optional availability or marketing preference by contacting us or using the unsubscribe control supplied with an applicable message. This does not stop necessary account or service communications.
7. Children and policy changes
Our services are not intended for individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.
We may update this policy as our practices change. The current version and its Last updated date will appear on this page.
